3. Review of happenings

What happened this week? It may be something that happened at work, or in the family. It may be a conversation or an article you read. Share about something that made you angry or happy or confused or depressed – something that really affected you.

    • What caused this to happen?
    • How did it affect the people involved?
    • What are the good and bad things about this happening?
    • What was your reaction/action?
    • Was that a good reaction? A responsible reaction?

4. Enquiry – Evaluation of our SJA group

This is our eighth meeting

We have become friends, but more than friends – a community.

Not only a community in this meeting room but in our action.

We have learnt things about our life:

    • Meaning and value of work,
    • Understanding of unemployment,
    • Structures at work or in the community that need to be changed.

Give examples of things you have learnt

We have learnt to SEE these things – to be aware of them

We have learnt to have an opinion about them.

We have become aware of the power of our own influence.

That we can make the world a better place.

That we can change things.

Give examples of our action.

We have all taken an active part in this happening

Our presence each week at the meeting.

Contact with one another outside the meeting.

Building trust in one another.

Taking action.

Sharing the work of preparing and running the meeting.

We have learnt

That SJA is conscious, organised ACTION in our own life.

That the SJA method is – SEE, JUDGE, ACT.

That young workers do all have a purpose and mission to fulfill in their daily life.

That doing these things is doing what Jesus asked of us.

5. General business

Preparation for next weeks election of officers for the group.

What about having a speaker at next weeks meeting?

6. Closing prayer and social
